The party did a Scry and realized that trying to face the hobgoblins was a terrible idea. They had discussed many times before on clearing the chimney again, and this time they were inspired to get it done.

Now what?” Brendon asked, kicking the last of the grit off the floor. “I’d be interested in checkin out the dining room.”
The Fighter nodded, giving a thumbs up. “Our whole purpose de coming aqui was a miramos en el dining hall fireplace.”
Kovid agreed, hoisting his backpack higher and cinching the straps in place. “Well, if the stairs are guarded perhaps we do another inspection of the dining room chimney?”
Wyn had picked up his arrow from the dead revenant and took his place in line as Brendon and the dwarf started to lead the party west up the short stairs. “Oui oui. De fireplace is where we wanted to go in de first place.” He snapped his fingers. “Allons-y.”
Holding her holy symbol, Lyra absently followed, head bobbing, “Fireplace sounds good. Just give me a minute, I need to continue being awesome and better than Lannis.” (CLW: 1d6+1: White 2+1=3 – Heal 3 Damage!) “Aine! Thanks again! Every little bit helps.”
“As if that can happen,” the Magic User frowned. He sighed theatrically and went to follow the rest of the group, dusting the dungeon filth off his hat. "We've seen the dining room haven't we?” he asked, rhetorically. “Unless Kovid here shit out a bunch of mining equipment which...maybe,” He pointedly looked on the floor behind the dwarf, getting a withering glower from Kovid in return. Nonplussed, Lannis continued, “I don't see what's going to have changed. Still, far be it for me to be the voice of dissent in this group, let's go, I'm in no rush to face the Hobgoblins anyway."
As they hit the upper hall, they could see that the revenants had eventually ripped the barrier down, making travel through this area a bit slower as the party had to pick their way through the wreckage. From the back of the group, Abraxas frowned, remembering what was awaiting them at the Dining Hall. “Necessitamos clear los Shriekers si estamos en there still. Maybe we can avoid los Roberts en los stairs. O get around them? No sabemos until we mirar en el dining hall. ¿Listamos amigos? Vamonos."
The party eventually arrived outside the Dining Room, door still open, and made their way in with care. The place had been ransacked, tables and chairs all over the place. The majority of the stone bodies had been shoved into the fireplace and up the flue, interspersed with some of the smaller tables as well. There were two smashed fungal remains of a shrieker outside the hearth, but we could see at least 1 more, a pretty sizeable 3’ one, growing inside the fireplace and protected by the limbs and legs of the stone elves around it. It inflated and deflated slowly as we watched, keeping far enough away to avoid setting it off.
“We have no idea what’s up the flue,” Kovid said, “And I’m pretty sure there are 3 courses of stone upstairs in the garden that we will have to get through.”
“Don’t forget the shrieker there,” Lyra pointed out.
“And it looks like you guys will have a lot of work to do removing all that shit from the fireplace,” Lannis observed.
“We,” Wyn said. “You mean we.”
“Yeah. Oui. Yes. Oui. Yes you have a lot of work. Got it.”
Time now is Day 11, 12:50 PM
(OOC)
Alright! Made it. Shrieker? Watch the door? Jam it closed or not? Listen? Work on removing all the shit? Carefully or quickly and possibly damage the stone elves? Let me know what the plans are.
