Magic User went up to the dreaded 5th level, and the dice gave him Fireball as a possible choice for his 3rd level spell. Guess which one he picked? Group is now terrified.

Wiping some schmutz off the end of his hammer, Kovid looked around and cocked his head as if listening. “Big Brain, you hear that? Swore I just heard a bell ding.”
Wyn gave the air a sniff and added, “Does anyone else smell… brimstone? En a bit of bat guano?” He looked over at the Magic User who was doing the end zone dance and miming blowing things up with his spread fingers. “Oh… oh no.”
"What was that?” Lannis asked, checking under his wizard’s hat and noting that the mark on the brim now read”5”. He flicked his fingers, making steam rise, and then commented with barely restrained modesty, “I couldn't hear you over the sound of my glorious purpose. We could wait for Lyra’s little gods to recharge,” he gave the Cleric the faintest of bows, “but you see, I am become Death, destroyer of worlds, and have a much more immediate and awesome solution available to me."
“I am BECOME DEATH? Hah!” Lyra laughed, shaking her head. “That sounds very big brained. Swollen even.”
“Priestess, I would suggest you have fire protection on de tip ov yer tongue for de foreseeable future,” Wyn commented, rolling his eyes at Lannis. On noting the wizard was giving him a pointed look, the elf then pivoted and asked sweetly, “I mean… er um, learn any news spells recently, Offop?”
“Yep! Sure do! Hey Gambit, what rhymes with 'Janice blows choir full?"
“Oh…no,” Wyn repeated.
“You know how when you have a bunch of problems and you happen to have a hammer in your hand?” Lannis asked. “And those problems all start to look like nails. And I mean, you have the perfect tool for all those nail like problems. So why not use the hammer for everything, amiright?”
“Just slow it down there,” Lyra said with her hand up. “I’m sure you’ll get a chance to make your big finish explode all over everything and give you a sense of satisfaction."
“See!” Lannis said pointing, “The horse gets it!”
“Let’s figure out what’s what. Brendon,” she called to the Scout, “We hear anything out there?”
Brendon had been listening to the door back out of the Ishtari area (no roll needed) and shook his head. “Negative. Nothing out there.”
“Thank Aine for small favors.” She sat down and started to kick around the corners, looking for larger loose stones. “We have some advantage and I want us to continue on with it. How should we go back? They might have made it over the barricade at this point. We shouldn’t stay here for a minute over ten minutes, the longer we give them the more time they might have to spread out in an inconvenient way.”
Abraxas had his Scythe on the ground, spinning it on its base slowly. "Perhaps we should vayamos around el otro way, maybe try y turn el horde para Hoots y El Oso side? Can we make them explode? No se."
Still at the door, the Scout pointed to the Fighter and gave a thumbs up. “I’m with Doc on this.”
“Hokay den. We wait a few more minutes an if’n we don’t hear nuttin’, we get goin’ an’ decide where we wants ta go. Oui?”
The party nodded in agreement, Lannis practicing pointing across the room, finger extended, and making ‘whoooshing’ noises under his breath.
Time now is Day 11, 11:48 AM
(OOC)
Ok! 10 minutes. Lyra, change your stones to 10, and Wyn, do the same. At the end of 10 minutes there is still no noise outside the door. What is the plan?
