FOUR HUNDRED NINETY TWO
(I/C)
Wyn clapped his hands together and drew out his shield. “Enuff time, amis. Let’s go north through de statue room en approach dem from de back. Den Priestess turn dem en boom!”
“Big Ba Da Boom!” Lannis said with a grin.
Hoisting his Theystran Hammer, Kovid gave the Magic User a withering glance. “I don’t like the way you’re grinning, Big Brain. It’s creepy. I mean, creepier than usual.”
“Ha ha!” Abraxas laughed, lining up at the door to leave. "Vamonos Amigos! Let's explosion some hombres malos!"
Still smiling, Lannis turned back to the Fighter and said, "Abraxas I saw your lips move but all I heard was 'Lannis you're so cool, come explodinate the bad guys.'”
Opening the portal, Brendon led the party out of the Ishtari area and north through the cavern. “Lannis,” he asked, “do you think your new spell could kill the locusts?”
He shrugged, waving his hands absently in the air. “Brendon, my new spell can kill everything, but I'd rather not waste it on a bunch if bugs unless there's nothing else to do that day. Also it would probably destroy anything of value the bugs might inexplicably be guarding.” He then followed along, eyes fixated on the floor, measuring the pacing out as they walked, fingers ticking up as he did math. “Now if this is five feet by five, and the ceiling is ten..."
Leaning over to the elf, Lyra stage whispered to Wyn, “Fire resistance and staying twenty feet away from Lannis at all times. Got it.”
Giving her a quick look, Lannis nodded in agreement. "Twenty...yeah."
The party moved on, down the stairs and into the grotto of the elven goddesses. The elf pointed ahead with his sword, giving a short laugh. “I tink we run toward back up west en nord en back to de old guardian place. Run dem in circles. Wait 10 minutes. Do it again.”
“Not all of us are faster than the revenants, Elffreind,” Kovid noted.
“None of the revenants are faster than a Fireball though.”
“You literally just got it,” Lyra noted, “And you are already looking for an excuse to shoot it off.”
“Well…yeah.” He looked around absently, “You don’t think I’m going to get screwed like Jason, do you? This baby’ll go off even if all I need to do it heat up some water for tea, trust me!”
The group crossed the grotto and made their way up the LONG flight of stairs, climbing higher and higher until finally they arrived at the lone door. The Scout gave it a hard listen and although he could hear some faint slapping sounds here and there like wood on stone (no roll needed), it had an echo-y consistency to it and was not at all local. With great care we opened the door and made our way into the hall.
A look south showed nothing of interest so the group made their way slowly to the west until they came to the first “T” intersection heading south. Brendon and then Kovid looked around the corner, with the aid of the lantern and then without for infravision purposes.
The revenants were in the hall. They were stretched out and it sounded like the barrier had come down and the undead were milling about the area. They were no longer bunched up and it looked like some of the bears and wolves had made their way forward. But for the moment (<Move silently: Red 10), we had not been heard.
The two of them faded back and let the group know what was what. The closest one was an undead wolf, at least 20’ down the corridor from the corner.
“Furrlbawl?” Lannis asked.
Time now is Day 11, 12:03 PM
(OOC)
Ok – you’ve come around the back of them! What’s the deal? Go for a turn? There will be an initiative check so make sure Lyra is behind someone just in case assuming you are going for the blunt force turn.
