“Wyn, it’s (Jow)ass kicking time, that’s what time it is!” Kovid held his hand out, taking his dagger back and sheathing it quick. “Are we done blowing hot air on these rats?”
"We cen leave dis 'ere ta steam for a while,” wiping his hands clean, Wyn stood up and checked his bow and quiver. “Monsieur Salazar, you wanted to explore more, oui? En Monsieur Offop, you want to check de slime room, oui? Let us go."
Lannis righted his backpack and followed Brendon out of the Ishtari Baths and back to the main cavern. Walking around the Ape, he said, “Let’s leave the steaming wet dead weasel to get slightly warmer and press on then.”
"Ees eet possible dat de slime ritual dey was doin' yesteraday was based on a time ov day? Eef so, we may want to check dis area quickly. We fought dat skull wearing kob round 3:40, yestaday, dat right dwarfriend?”
Kovid nodded, “Close enough, elf. 3:38”
“Ya,” Wyn grimaced and muttered “dwarves” before continuing aloud, “So I be tinkin' we 'ave bout an hour till dey come back dis way iffin time 'ave sometin to do wit it."
The Magic User shrugged, "Might not even come back today, how much slime could they possibly need? Good to keep in mind I guess. If we can do it, let's, they don't need any more green slime. With my Wizard smarts I should be able to tell what they needed the slime for."
While the party was walking towards the west end of the cavern, Abraxas, who had been thinking this whole time, added, “"I say we track down Grilljax. We have to stop him from making more of those bruja majik fighters. They can not be allowed to build a force of those zombies. And what of the slime? What do we do about that room? Investigate? Burn it down? If we want to send Señor Lannister to take a look, we could use my shield as a sled for him to use to get across the floor perhaps? The table had those stone things for the legs. Nothing of wood or flesh should touch the floor, parece. Or we can just set the room en fuego. Send it all al Infierno."
“Although I am always a big fan of fire, big guy, I’d like to at least look it over first.”
“Can look it over while it’s burning too, Senor?”
“Guys,” Brendon held his hand up to his lips and made shushing noises, “Stairs. Let’s go.”
The group followed Brendon carefully up the stairs, through the side door near the Barracks, up those stairs to the main hall, turned south and gave each door a quick listen to (WMC, Red/Black 6) hearing nothing and seeing little else, and then made it to the Sitting Room and then took the side passage NORTH and WEST to the first turn off and before going down to the Fresh Water Cave, turned north to the small passage and stopped at the door here.
Brendon once again gave the door a once over (no roll!) and was satisfied all was safe. Lyra at this point whispered to the group, “Reminder, I have no more healing for the day. If there are any potions left and before the crap hits the wall, any fighters might want to suck one down.”
“Shit hits ze fan, Lady,” Wyn offered.
“Piss hit the floor, doody smack the chest, fudge hit the oven – what does it matter?” She hissed.
“You are so…” Lannis started before Lyra whirled on his with a finger out and under the brim of his hat, quivering.
“Don’t.”
With the party ready, (more or less) Abraxas went to the door, held the handle, and twisted pushing the door open and to the right. As before, the room was not very large, perhaps 20’ square. There was an acrid scent on the air. The room had a pretty large stone barrel looking CASK on the far end of the room with a cover on it not sealed, a single wooden STOOL in the center of the room with stone legs, and an iron sconce on the EAST wall, with no torch in it. The floor appeared to be swept clean of debris.
“Ok,” Lannis rubbed his hands (>Half Int, Pink 20) together and looked at the group. “I have nothing. There is absolutely zero potions that require the use of green slime since it eats everything except for glass and stone that it gets in touch with. And as it eats, it gets bigger.”
“Fire, Senor. Burn it and vamanos, it’s the only way.”
Time now is 3:17.
(OOC)
Ok, we’re here. 3 in the room, 3 out of the room, senses on high – if something comes by, you’ll get first crack on hearing it. What’s the plan?
