Bookkeeping. No matter how it's played - all D&D groups have to do it occassionally.

THREE HUNDRED NINETY SEVEN
(I/C)
Unwrapping one of the elven rations, Lannis took a nibble and then slid Mirabellis’ elbow length gloves and her spell book over. "Well I guess if we're eating we might as well be proactive. Do not bother me, I will be doing important work only for geniuses and Wyn. Give me the read magic scroll, and let’s see if Miss Mirabellis has anything good in here." He slid the gloves on one at a time, pulling them up to his elbow. At first it looked like they might have been a touch too small, but that wasn’t the case as they seemed to fit perfectly.
“Here de spell, Offop,” Wyn said, handing over the scroll in question. He had unwrapped another of the rations and proceeded to munch it down. He had his own spellbook ready but was looking over the three rings first. “I’ll check deez out for now.”
Brendon dragged a chair out to the hall and set it up near the secret door to the Summoning Room. He also ate and tilted back his wine, drinking it in slow gulping swallows. “I’ll say it now in case I don’t get the chance later. It’s been a pleasure adventuring with you all.”
“Likewise!”
Lyra was going through her bags, shuffling things around a bit. “I think I’m good taking what I have - Abraxas, can you hold the bandages?” She held them out to the Fighter. “It’ll free me up and if there’s another healing potion free I’ll hold onto it.”
"Si SeƱora, da me los Ban-dah-jes. Perhaps tu tomas un potion de Recall por ahora, asi we can come back aqui later.”
“Good idea.” She took one of the Recall potions, drank it down, and squirreled the empty vial back on her person. “Ready again…Oooo!” She squealed as the last of the healing surges from the spell fired off (1d4+1, Green 4+1 = Heal 5!). “Pardon me,” she said, stepping over to the table and taking one of the pins out of the pincushion. She then positioned herself near one of the corners and made to eat, looking over at Lannis who had the spellbook open and was reading the scroll.
“WIS LINGUA ARCANUS!” Lannis intoned as the scroll dissolved away. “Let’s see what she’s got,” he muttered, flipping the pages one at a time. “Read Magic…Sleep…Magic Missile…Detect Magic….Shield…ok, ok…Second Level...Mirror Image…Web…Locate Object…Wizard Lock…not bad, not bad…Ooo! Third Level…let’s see…Hold Person…Water Breathing…Infravision.”
“Dats a lot of spells.”
“Yeah, but no Fireball,” he pouted. He looked down and noted that the blue of the gloves had changed to pink, matching the rest of the clothes he was wearing. “Whoa. What the…” He held up his hands and looked them over. “Ok…so the gloves have accepted me as their master?” He smiled. “I’ll just copy one of these bad boys into my book for now…but I’ll keep it a secret until after I’m done.” He then hunched over and proceeded to start penning into his book.
Abraxas had the two chests out of the bag of holding and was going through the items with care. “ Quien necessta put mas cosas en el Bag? Que no necessitamos carry, pero que quieres tener, we should put en el Bag. Necesito mas vive, amigos. Mas health would be bueno."
“Good idea,” Lyra said, she took one of the Healing potions and popped the top, drinking it down (Healing Potion 1d6, Green 3 – Heal 3). “Thanks, Abraxas.” She went back to the corner and sat down again. She had the Artificer doll in her hands and was looking it over. She noted that the doll now had a set of gloves on that it didn’t have before, matching the ones Lannis was wearing. With great care, she poked the pin into the back of the doll’s neck and waited.
After almost 10 seconds, Lannis absently rubbed that part of his neck and went back to his writing. Smiling, she then ran her finger under the artificer doll’s nose and waited. After a short time, Lannis wiped his lips as if they were dry and returned to his work. “Oh. Yeah,” she said, slipping it into her pack and smiling.
"’ere you go,” Wyn said, handing over the loose Recall potion he was still carrying and the four tainted invisibility potions. “Put dem in de chest.” He then took one of the Healing potions and placed it in his pouch. “I’ll take one of deeze and now I’ll look at de rings. Den, I’ll write de Mirror Image scoll inta my book.”
While all this was going on, Abraxas, with Kovid’s help, tipped all the remaining elven rations including the few in Abraxas’ pack, into the bag of holding (39 elven rations in the Bag). He also put in his own Corfard Statue, making a little more room in his backpack. Taking one of the Healing potions he drank it down (Healing Potion 1d6, Green 4 – Heal 4), and also took one of the Extra healing potions and put it in his backpack.
“What’s the plan?” Kovid asked.
“Let’s put all the loose coins in the barrel now,” Abraxas said, and the two men piled as much of the loose treasure they could into the barrel. Then with the one chest set up for carrying potions, they loaded the following unclaimed potions into the slots: 3 Recall Potions, 4 Tainted Invisible Potions, 1 Potion Healing, 2 Potions Extra Healing, 1 Potion Climbing, 1 Potion Giant Strength, and 1 Potion Haste. Then they closed the chest and placed it back into the bag of holding. In the last chest, they then proceeded to scoop other loose coins from the floor into the chest, grunting good naturedly as they did so.
Abraxas sat down with the mirror, looking it over, eating his own lunch. Wyn lifted his head and rubbed his chin. “I didn’t cast de Detect Magic. But I tink dat only de silver ring wit de elven designs is de magic one. And we know dat it is supposed to be a ring o spell turning. So dat means dat spells cast at de person wearing it will not hit dem. But we don’t know how many more charges it has. But its here as a ting.”
“And the other ones?” Lyra asked, the Cleric was looking over the staff at this time.
“I tink just silver rings.”
“Well, I’ve whacked this staff on the ground a few times, hit myself with it, and although it’s nice, I think it’s just a piece of wood.”
“I’m gonna start scribing now,” Wyn said, already beginning work on his own spellbook.
“What about that mirror?” Kovid asked.
“Well, Senor. When I look in it this way, I can see me.” Abraxas held it up. “And when I turn it around, I can’t.”
Kovid chuckled. “I gathered. What’s that on the back?”
“Draco,” Abraxas noted. “It looks like a Draco.” He frowned. “But de etcher, he did a mal trabajo. See?” He pointed it out. “Too many necks. Cinco. And no capezas, necks all go around to the edge.”
Lyra took it and looked it over. “The necks all go around and end where the gems are on the other side of the mirror. See? Jet, Opal, etcetera. Black, White, Red, Blue, Green. I think it’s supposed to be a representation of Tiamat.”
“Who that?” Kovid asked.
“Dragon Goddess. Five heads. Real bitch.”
“And we already know that Mirabellis liked Dragons a lot,” Kovid noted. “Brendon, what did you say this would be worth?”
“300 crowns,” the Scout answered from the hall.
“There we go. Treasure for sure.” Lyra placed it on the table. “Maybe if we get a chance, we can one of those two do a detect on it later, just to make sure we’re not doing something stupid.”
“Sooooo,” the Dwarf asked slowly. “Watchtower and Harpies? Ghouls? Goblins? Or Something else?”
Brendon came back in with his empty bottle and then refilled it from the Ispan’s stores (full back to 4). “We still have some time.”
Time now is Day 9, 1:35 PM
(OOC)
Thanks all for your efforts. We suspect a few things might be enchanted but that’s the best you can get for now. Wyn and Lannis will be done scribing this minute, Lannis, let me know what you wrote in your book. There is still a scroll sleep, detect magic, and mirror image. There is also the suspected Ring of Spell Turning if someone wants to take it. All other potions are in Abraxas’ bag for now. Current hp: Lannis 9/11, Lyra 19/26, Wyn 14/18, Abraxas 16/35, Brendon 9/14, and Kovid 39/48. Brendon, currently you’ve heard nothing through the walls. What next?
