Hearing the scratching on the other side of the doorway, Abraxas stomped his foot and said, Scythe out, eyes flashing, “No! We fight. Here.”
“Ready to trim de hedges, Monsieur Salazar?” Wyn joked, his three images and himself swapping over to his shield and sword.
Sighing, Lannis took out Mirabellis spellbook, slammed it closed, and then took his own out. “This dragon seems to have surrounded himself with many terrible protectors, it all seemed so easy in the planning stage."
Moving to the other side of the doorway, Kovid slapped his Theystran Hammer into his palm and said, “I am ready to take on the Wild Thornberrys.” He looked over at Lannis and added, “If Big Brain gets hit with a thorn, it will be a real pain in OUR ass. HAhahaha!"
Brendon took out a new arrow and loaded it up, sighting at the closed door. Smacking his lips he asked, “Does anyone else fancy a swing of wine later? I’m feeling a bit parched.”
“You all sound strangely optimistic,” Lyra said, posting up next to the dwarf on the west side of the hall, “considering the dragon is STILL laughing.”
"I'm always optimistic Lady Lyra,” Lannis said while casting, “as long as I have all of you, I have every reason to be. IN MULTOS EGO!" The pages from his book burned away as he cast Mirror Image straight from his tome (1d4 Images, Pink 2 – 2 Images!!).
“Ew,” the Cleric frowned, holding her weapon high.
"Amigos,” Abraxas lifted his foot high, ready to kick the door, spotting creepers, tendrils, and leaves starting to appear underneath, “Hack ese bush monsters! Despues de que, Coglerfurt!" He lunged forward, foot snapping out (<BX Baby, -2 Str, kick in door and hack down, Blue 13) where it hit the latch and snapped the edge of the jamb free – the far end of the door slamming into the closest arboreal menace standing there at 5’ tall. His Scythe them followed down (>+8 to hit, +2 BX Baby, +1 bless, Blue 6), tearing through the outer and then inner branches (1d8+4 Damage, +2 BX Baby, Blue 6+4+2=12 Damage and killed!!!) before striking something important within.
And it exploded. (Burst @ +3: Lyra <White 11, Kovid =White 15, Wyn >White 16 (MImage), Abraxas <White 12…1d4 Damage, Blue 3) Thorns blew out, ripping into the party and filling the area with sharp 4” thorns. One of Wyn’s images popped and Kovid had a deep one gouge through the weak part of his gauntlet and get stuck in a knuckle, making the dwarf curse as he ripped it out. “Thor’s anus, that hurt!” The second menace was already at the hall, coming through the door and he snarled, “Let’s trim those leaves for you. THOR!!” (<+6 to hit, +1 bless, Yellow 3) He hit out at it, sending branches to flail and flap wildly, but was unable to get through the larger blocking branches that hampered his swings.
“’Llow moi!” Wyn dashed in, stabbing and cutting, the enchanted sword (>+6 to hit, +1 bless, Orange 12) making short work of the outer defenses (1d6+2 Damage, Orange 6+2=8 Damage!), ripping deep into its core.
Lyra hit from the opposite side (>+4 to hit, +1 bless, White 18), her enchanted weapon almost singing as it struck (1d6+2 Damage, White 2+2=4 Damage and killed!!) before practically folding the monster in half as she power struck it to the ground.
And then it too, exploded. (Burst @ +3, Lyra <Red/Black 2, Kovid >Black 17, Wyn >Green 10 (MImage), Abraxas >Teal 17…1d4 Damage, Red/Black 1) Sharp bits and thorns shredded another of Wyn’s images and Kovid and Abraxs each took new scratches.

“HA HA HA! Yes! Keep on fighting them!” Corfard’s laugh could be heard. “You are doing so well! HA HA HA!!”
And we could hear more moving plants crawling their way through the ruins of the garden, crossing the large room and heading in the direction of the party.
