PBEM - Episode 178, Honey and Entrances

 ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY EIGHT

(I/C)

“Ok, time to head back to de Beekeeper room and check de East door, oui?” Wyn asked, fingering the three grey sacks before shrugging, “I takin deze sacks, too.”

“Nice sacks,” Lannis said absently, ignoring the arrows that Brendon tried to give to him. “Rub them and talk dirty I guess?”

Sighing, Wyn took the arrows and turned to Kovid. “Monsieur Dwarf, cen you hold de other 13 arrows for right now, s’il vous plaît? I do t want to leave dem here to potentially be used against us... merci.”

“No worries Elf friend, I’ll hold your arrows,” Kovid replied, stowing them on his person. “I agree, let’s try the East door in the beekeepers room first.”

“Sacks,” Brendon chuckled, moving to the front, ““Hot warm sand, you think it could be a product of the dragon?”

“Dragons don’t come in sacks,” Lannis said.

“You are disgusting, you know that?” Lyra retorted.

“Listen, just because you never been there when someone came doesn’t mean you can try to spit your bit and bridle at me.”

“Lannis,” Abraxas growled.

“I’m just saying, the sacks is not what dragons come in. They come from eggs.” He smirked.

Looking at his swollen hand, Brendon laughed, “I bet the honey tastes better from the jar then a hive of angry bees.”

"Señorita Lyrus, perhaps slurping down honey right now isn’t the best idea?” Abraxas asked. “Perhaps put a lid on it for now, before your hand gets stuck in the jar? Just until we can rest maybe? That may be the more... como dices... appropriate time. I'm hoping this honey,” he patted his backpack, “can buy us some favor with el Yailer. The last batch the Beeskipper will ever make. So that has to have some added value. Anyways, let's follow Señor Wynhaus."

The Cleric smiled, “Got it! Won’t eat it. But give to the Yail..Jailor? Sorry guys, I NEED to hold this honey and I’m already kinda burdened. But yea - honey can be used for medicinal purposes. That’s why I should keep this jar. For medicine.”

“Is it just me or is it getting fat in here?” Lannis asked absently.

“Seriously?” Lyra asked.

“What? I said cold. IS it getting cold in here? You need to get your ears washed out, the crazy is making you hallucinate.”

Brendon led the group back into the Beekeeper’s room (WMC: Red/Black 2) and once sure all was good, led the party to the Eastern door. “Through here?”

“Oui.”

As the Scout bent his ear to listen (>Hear Noise, Red 93) Lannis said, “East it is then. Keep in mind that's where the alarm bell most likely is. Could be quite a few dick weeds over there. I wonder if we could fool some of our enemies at some point by setting a slow burn candle under the rope to set off the alarm after we have vacated the premises."

“Another time, Senor,” Abraxas replied, eyes peeled behind the group.

Once Brendon gave the all clear, he backed up and Kovid opened the door, Hammer out. Revealing a corridor heading east. We entered with care, seeing the passage went perhaps a dozen or so paces before turning north. A short look around the corner showed all was good, and Brendon led the party northward, weapons ready. The passage went maybe 15 more paces before ending at a door on the east wall.

Holding the lantern up for him, Kovid looked around with care (no roll needed) seeing nothing strange about the stonework while Brendon gave the door a last look over (>Hear Noise, Red 65) and then turned back to the group. “Don’t hear anything. Door opens away from us and to the left. Turn knob, seems well used. Might be a stale candle in that room, faint flickering dim and distant.”

Looking at the dwarf he shrugged. “Who’s opening it, you or I?”

Time now is Day 5, 12:33 PM

(OOC)

Ok, L shaped passage, doors closed behind us. At the end of the passage, door on the right/east.
