PBEM, Episode 140 - Orcs, Zombies, Goblins

 ONE HUNDRED FORTY

(I/C)

Snapping his fingers back and shaking his neck loose, Wyn sighted down the goblin line towards the rear, hands raised with orange lights flashing from his fingertips. “Oh gud. Who invited de gobs to de party? Let us get dis ova wit quickly, oui?“ At the final pass, he flung his hand forward and called out, “Zu!” and the scent of roses filled the air (4d4 hd: 4,1,1,2 = 8) and the back rank of goblins, five of them, fell over and passed out, weapons clattering to the floor, asleep.

Not seeing what was going on, Abraxas was on his knees straddling the K800, shield pressed under its neck, forcing its head back, and his right arm kept pounded sideways and down again and again and again, plunging the silver dagger into the scrabbling undead (>+5 to hit, +2 pinned, Blue 6) turning its left side into so much hamburger meat (1d4+2 damage: Blue 2+2 – 4 Damage and killed!) until it finally stopped moving. And he stabbed it again, just to make sure. Lifting his bloodshot eyes he saw the closing goblins and rolled back to his feet, fumbling to draw his sword. “Killed the pendejo’s is bueno cardio workout, si?”

Lyra spun her sling overhead and let her rock fly (>+3 to hit, White 6) but it missed the lead goblin by precious inches. Lannis withdrew one of his heavy darts, stepped up a few feet, and hurled it over the dwarf’s head (>+2 to hit, Pink 12) where the bladed end of the dart slammed into the goblin’s chest (1d3 Damage, Pink 6 – 3 Damage) causing it to slow down and stare at its open wound.

Taking advantage of the sleeping goblins and the battle in front, Brendon slipped from the shadows and wrapped his free hand around the rear most goblin’s mouth from behind and shoved his short sword (>+1 to hit, +4 B/Stab, Red 10) into the greenskin’s rear near his kidney and angled it up and through (1d6 Damage: Red 6 x2 backstab: 12 damage and killed!) it’s chest, before pulling it back out and lowering the goblin to the ground with a twist and fading back again (<Hide in shadows -10% penalty, Red 04!!) and ready for another surprise attack.

Kovid, who barely caught the action from the Scout, grinned and stepped up two paces, hammer swinging high (>+3 to hit, Yellow 11) and then down on the goblin with Lannis’ dart still in its chest (1d8+2 damage: Yellow 4+2 – 6 Damage and killed!) crushing it to the ground and snarling, “Goblin Trash! Ahhh!”

Leaving…one (>Morale check vs 7, Red/Black 6+3 = 9 failed!).

Who (Initiative, Party Steel 1, goblin Reb/Black 3) turned, threw its crappy swort sword away, and tried to run back down the hall that it came from, however the sleeping goblins on the floor impeded its movement and it didn’t get at far as expected.

Time now is: Day 4, 11:22

(OOC)

Brendon, you are 20’ away with a field of sleeping gobs on the floor and are set up for another backstab. There are 5 goblins sleeping on the ground. And there will be NO more K800’s – they have all been killed!. Bottom of round, your turn. For everyone, the goblin is running into the gloom and is barely visible (-2 to hit for anyone with missile weapon) and the lantern is preventing infravision from getting a good shot.
