Meet 163, Adv 17, 6/20/26

Firemonth 12th, 2:35 PM. We discussed options and decided that we would stay here in the Knight’s Hall until nightfall or later. Most of us were tired and we figured we’d rest for a while eventually. Keeping our voices down, eating cold rations, and no lights, we talked to Ebbit, Almara, and Martin for a while. At some point the thought was to look at the Cinder Vein Guild area again and get a better lay of the land regarding the lizardmen in the area.

Knowing we wanted to have some daylight but most of us needed to sleep, the group went to bed about 6ish and a bit after 7, Wilhelm cast Reflecting Pool again, with a few others hanging out to watch. Over the 7 minute window he took a look around the knight hall (empty roadway), shot up 600’ to get a lay of the land, came to the road heading to Cinder vein and saw 4 saurial warriors with a wheelbarrow with lanterns, ropes, and leather harnesses, got a heads up of the guild hall, noted 2 Kroxigor’s on the 2nd floor, a slope running from the 3nd floor window down to the 1st, and a rough count now of 20 or so skinks, saurials, and Kroxigors on site.

We went to sleep and a few of us kept watch. About 11 PM a dragon (blue) flew over the city with leisurely ease, but for the most part, no one came by. Finally it was 2:30. We prayed, studied, handed out some healing, and left, heading our way north and east through the alleys and streets until we came at long last to Cinder Vein.

The out wall was not climbable so it was the main doorway. A Silent Portal and Unlock spell followed, and we had a chance to look in. 20 or so sleeping lizardmen in the 2 alcoves, long room, other door closed – and a lizard, chameleon/iguana on a desk, 65’ away, watching us. We closed the door and went through quite a number of plans before getting ready to go in, take care of the iguana/alarm and kill off the Kroxigors if we can. Firemonth 13th, 5:10 AM
